An interior designer is qualified by education, experience, and examination to enhance the function and quality of interior spaces. The designers help improve the quality of life. As a professional designer it is important for me to analyze the client's need, goals and life and safety requirements. I learned to understand the well-being of individuals and the environment. For instance, getting rid of hazards to create a good environment; understanding of emotions, motivations, moods, satisfaction or people; choosing Greenlife products for my clients. Sustainable and Green Design presents opportunities for designers to develop a more environmentally and socially conscious design choice. There are many things that can stress me out. One issue that is really stressful is test taking. Some strategies that I may use to help me with my stress are doing easier questions first, read the chapter for essay questions, narrow down answers on multiple choice questions. Test taking stresses out many people because tension builds up from worrying about whether or not they're going to get a good grade on the test. One way of making test taking less stressful is doing the easier questions first. By doing this, I will have more time answering the harder questions on the test. There are many advantages to answering the easier questions first. Answering these first will allow me to remember other information as well. A second strategy for test taking is reading the chapter before the test for the essay questions. Most tests have essay questions, so knowing information about the essay question would help me write enough down so that I may receive the full amount of credit for the question. A third strategy is eliminating the answers on a multiple choice section. Eliminating some of the answers from the multiple choice question allows me to find the possible answer that makes more sense to the question being asked. By following this strategy, I would save more time on guessing. These three strategies help me on test taking because they allow me to take my time on other harder questions. I believe that these strategies are helpful to anyone who gets stressed out because of a test....

My first week has been a pretty fast paced one. The process of learning at the University of Phoenix has given me a new perspective in learning away from the traditional classroom settings. The feeling of learning what can be applied to everyday life is overwhelming in itself. I really enjoy the team building promoted at the University of Phoenix. I think I can acquire more with the team building exercises, discussions, and feedback. My initial perception was that there would too much reading and writing. I tend to stray away from heavy writing classes. I had a bad experience back some summers ago where I decided to take college writing in a condensed setting. I simply, could not keep up and ended up with a D in the class. University of Phoenix seems somewhat different because of the team building it does. I enjoy being in a learning environment that promotes teamwork because we all are trying to reach specific goals being team or individual and that makes for the learning process to be more enjoyable. I have really enjoy reading the Peak Learning. As an adult learner I have been reassured that I can succeed with self education and why I want to be a peak learner. It is important to view learning in your day to day lifestyle and apply this learning to school and work to make it essential. Remembering self educating yourself along with confidence is a must because if you can't influence yourself to reach out you won't be successful at University of Phoenix. Reading the Little Brown compact book only confirmed my fears and gave me confirmation that I am weak in writing. I will use this guide to help me write effective papers. I hope the learning experience at University of Phoenix will be an enjoyable...

From the late nineteenth-century to the late 1960s – even the dates are somewhat uncertain so little do we know – Australian governments, as a practice and as a policy, removed part-Aboriginal children from their mothers, parents, families and communities, often by force. Some of these children were taken at birth, some at two years of age, some in their childhood years. The babies and children were sent either to special purpose institutions, or in later years especially, to foster homes. In some cases mothers or families knew where their children had been taken and were able to maintain some continuing connection with them. In other cases they had no idea of the whereabouts of the babies or children who had been taken from them. In some cases within the institutions and the foster homes the children were treated well, although even here, it would appear, frequently with condescension. In other cases physical mistreatment, sexual exploitation and more extreme forms of humiliation were common. The National Inquiry into the Separation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children from Their Families was established in May 1995 in response to efforts made by key Indigenous agencies and communities. They were concerned that the general public's ignorance of the history of forcible removal was hindering the recognition of the needs of its victims and their families and the provision of services. Public evidence was taken from Indigenous organisations and individuals, state and territory government representatives, church representatives, other non-government agencies, former mission and government employees and individual members of the community. Confidential evidence was taken in private from Indigenous people affected by forcible and from adoptive and foster parents. Many people and organisations made written submissions to the Inquiry, including many who also gave oral evidence. There were 777 submissions received which included: · 535 Indigenous individual...

Understanding customer needs My research has helped me to understand customer needs. My Pest particularly helped me with this as under economic I wrote 'the British economy is expected to accelerate next Year.' From this I found out that there is more demand for products. Also under social it said 'consumer lifestyles are getting faster.' This tells me that there is more need for snacking, so what my customers want is simply more snacks. My questionnaire stated that 15% of people eat healthily. Therefore there is a need for more variety of healthy snacks. My product meets customer needs in terms of its price, the actual product, its promotion and the place it will be sold. I know this because from my questionnaire and competitive audit matrix, it told me the best price would be between 30-70p and the best places to sell my product would be in supermarkets and newsagents. My questionnaire was again helpful in providing with me evidence for the best way to advertise my snack, which was, adverts on television. Understanding and keeping ahead of the competition My research has told me many things about my competition. From my competitive audit matrix I could see that Kellogg's have many different types of healthy snack, not just one. It also showed me that Kellogg's promote all of their snacks on Television, the prices vary from between 30-37p and they are all sold from newsagents and supermarkets. This was very helpful when I decided on my strategy and marketing mixes. I took into account my competition when considering the components of my marketing mix. With price I based it on my competitors pricing. I didn't want to charge too little as I would lose profit but not too expensive so people wouldn't buy it. My competitors show a tried price which has succeeded so I...

Reflection Paper This past month in careers we have been discussing several issues about life and different types of jobs we would like to do when we finish high school. We have also been doing some activities that helps us learn more about ourselves. I enjoyed this class because it helped me learn a little more about myself that I didn't already know. I think the easiest thing I learned about myself was that I am a people person. I already knew that because I like being around people and meeting new friends. That's probably hard to believe because I was really quiet but I didn't really know anybody and they are all older so it was kind of hard because I was scared that they wouldn't like me because I am younger and stuff so that is basically why I didn't talk that much to people in the class. But what I learned about myself that surprised I don't think there is really anything that did surprise me because I know what I like I know what I can do and I know how I react to things so there wasn't really anything new I learned about myself. My cousin Candice is my profound influencer on my plan because she is taking a course right now on Youth and Child care and she said it is really interesting and it feels good to be able to help people with their problems and also I want to be able to help people out with problem the best I can. I think this career is the best one for me because I like helping people and I like being around kids. The high five messages that are most important to would have to be set your mind to something and you will...

Music censorship has been a major problem plaguing America for over fifty years. In 1957, Elvis Pressley was only allowed to be filmed from the waist up on the Ed Sullivan show (Nuzum 1). Plenty of controversy has taken places between then and now, but more recently it has become much more prominent in the media, and people and organizations are beginning to actually take a stand. For example, Island Records (owned by Disney) dropped the Insane Clown Posse just after their release of The Great Milenko and MTV actually refused to play Madonna's video for Justify My Love because it was considered too sexually explicit (Nuzum 1). Music content is just one of the many issues that puts the First Amendment of our Constitution to work. On one hand people believe that lyrics should be censored so that people can be protected. And on the other hand, people believe that the First Amendment protects everyone's rights to free speech. Basically, it is a matter of whether lyrical censorship be accepted. Many people say yes, that there should be censorship because lyrics from songs are telling our youth it is acceptable to participate in illegal actions such as murder, rape or drugs. These people believe that the lyrics actually drive people to become social deviants. In one case, the parents of John McCullom sued Ozzy Osbourne, because his song "Suicide Solution", "aided, advised and encouraged" McCullom's suicide (Nuzum 1). C. Delores Tucker, chair of National Political Congress of Black Women, said, "No one and no industry should be allowed to continue the social and psychological poisoning of the young minds of this nation that occurs with the music industry" (91). This belief of musical content being "poison" is prominent all over America. During the 1970's, record burning was a popular way to speak...
