Everyone has special qualities about themselves. The better a person knows himself or herself, the better they can assess the areas that require additional personal development. These areas can be divided into specific traits called strengths and weaknesses. In this paper, I will discuss some of my personal strengths and weaknesses; I will also include my plans for improvement and actions I have taken thought out the years to overcome my weaknesses through my strengths. Speaking front an audience whether, in class room, in public, or at work is on the top of the list of my weaknesses. The problem stems primarily from the fact that English is my second language. This weakness can be broken down into two parts: One mastering the language itself, vocabulary, grammar and sentence structuring. People tend to judge our character through the way we present ourselves through speech and ability to present our ideas in comprehensible fashion. My limited vocabulary and pronunciation needs a lot of improvement. The Second part of the weakness is the fear to stand front an audience, and deliver a speech or a presentation. This weakness is a direct result of earlier part, mastering the language and the ability to deliver a speech are two sides of the same coin. My ability to present my ideas limited by my choice of words then, most likely my audience will not get my point. How can my audience comprehend the concepts I am trying to get across to them if my speech might as well be in a foreign language?...

Stage1. 'Where I am now' a) My personal skills audit In this part of the report, I'd like to express my personal strengths and weaknesses. My personal skills audit shows that I am good at the following factors: A5, A9, B2, B4, D5, D6, and D8 in the transferable skills; and scored highly in B3, D1, and G5 in the personal attributes section. First of all, I am willing to learn. (A9) I always believe that the willingness to learn is crucial not only for students, but also for people who have already got good careers. As a university student, I am trying to learn as much knowledge as possible to prepare myself. When I get into the real workplace, to continue learning will be compulsory for me as well. I am working very hard at all elements of my course, which is often very difficult and demanding as I am an overseas student and have had to adapt to a big new learning experience. It is very important for me to set and achieve goals. (A5) I have my own opinions on how to set a goal. Generally speaking, I prefer to set a particular goal for current or short-term work. I think the internal or external environment that may influence the task is hard to change during a short period. On the other hand, I just set a general goal for future or long-term work. This is essentially because I cannot be sure what will happen over a long time. Things can change even though they are seen to be OK to day. For example, I try to concentrate on my assignments and try hard not to worry about exams at the end of the year. More, I believe that I can establish a good working relationship with people at different levels of...

I believe one of my personal strengths in communication is that I can talk to just about anyone. I enjoy talking with people. In communication, my strength would be that I have the ability to listen as well as respond. I enjoy having conversation with people of different cultures, because it gives me a chance to learn more about their lifestyle. I have learned to communicate well with people, because I am an outgoing person. I communicate better one on one. I have a weakness with communication when it comes to having to speak to a large group of people. I become very nervous, and will sometimes forget what I wanted to say. My weakness in communication is also when I have to speak in front of the class, or in front of a very large group of people I become nervous, because my weakness of thinking that they are more focused on me than on the information that I will be presenting. I work at that weakness by having the personal strength to try to make the presentation enjoyable so that the focus will not be so much on the speaker but the information be presented to the group. I have learned through the years that it is important to stay focused on your strengths and not your weaknesses and to realize that for the most part everybody else is probably just as nervous as I am. I have strength in the fact that I can talk about most subjects very freely. I try to communicate just the point I am trying to make and have the point understandable to those who are listening. Communication for me is easy depending on the topic being discussed. I sometimes have a weakness in the fact that I may be too honest with my answer and...

Personal Strengths and Weaknesses 1 Personal Strengths and Weaknesses Personal Strengths and Weaknesses 2 Personal Strengths and Weaknesses Individual strengths and weaknesses can ultimately change a person's destiny. They can cause a person to perform in unique ways. My personal strengths are determination and pride, and my weakness is eagerness. Each of these traits influences my life on a daily basis. Every person has strengths and weaknesses, how they choose to use them is what truly matters. First, determination is what drives a person to succeed in life. Without determination there is no driving force to push a person to accomplish their goals. In life, I must be determined to get the job done. As I work towards my goals I strive to do my best. If I fail to accomplish a goal, I will start over again. In order to succeed, I must apply hard work and dedication to everything I do. I will always be a determined individual. Secondly, pride makes people believe in themselves. It pushes them to reach for the stars and far beyond. Pride increases motivation and confidence, thus creating a sense of godliness. I find pride to be my greatest strength; it makes me believe I can accomplish anything. I look past all limitations and boundaries, and turn them into mere obstacles. Pride provides me with a sense of comfort that allows me to be confident in every aspect. I will always be a proud individual. Finally, my weakness is eagerness. Eagerness causes a person to make rash decisions, which in turn causes regret. Eagerness causes me to make spontaneous decisions and act in unforeseen ways. I act upon what I believe, rather than acting on what I know. Personal Strengths and Weaknesses 3 I rush into situations without researching my decisions, and as a result I regret my choice. In time I...

Here I go inventorying and revealing my strengths and weaknesses for the sake of completing a college course. I have participated in self-examination exercises before and the return for my efforts in such exercises has been rewarding every time. I usually do not have a problem owning my assets and liabilities for the benefit of personal growth. I say "usually," because being human, I am not always in the mood to take actions that stimulate my personal growth. I am hesitant to expose my inner-self in the process of writing this paper. This may be due in part to the requirements of writing this assignment; required formatting, mechanics, and a dictated length of this paper. I will let my objectives here be to hold your attention and inform you, while I search and possibly get to know myself more deeply. Strengths I possess various strengths at many different levels. I will attempt to touch upon a few without letting the length of this paper get out of control. I need to mention my attention to details. This very well may be my most noteworthy strength. I carry this characteristic into every area that my true interests take me. It does not matter if I am washing the dishes immediately after dinner, paying my bills in a timely manner, or getting out of bed at exactly the same time every morning to get to work on time, I am like a human atomic clock when tending to duties that are important to me. I am, usually, very open about how I am feeling. If I am happy or dissatisfied with something, you will not have to guess. My facial expressions alone are uninhibited, and are an easy read as to what is going on inside my head. Usually a verbal expression of my feelings follows. Of...

My best time for learning is in the morning. After I complete my routine morning rituals, I'm energetic and ready to start the day. I feel best when I can schedule my learning time two hours after I awake and late afternoon right before and after dinner. Below is an example of my peak and valley learning times. I'm a grouper. I like to learn from top to bottom. I like to see the broad picture and add the details later. I like to visualize the end result(s) of the new topic or subject first. Once I have a good mental picture in my mind, the details, such as how much do I know about this topic or subject, what can I contribute, and what resources can I turn to, to achieve those results start to add to the broad picture. After mind mapping the project with the details, I like to write it all down and map it out on paper before I jump right into it. Many times I have started new projects with very little information and knowledge of the topic or subject and the end results were very successful. For example, my employer asked me to accept the task of administering the close out procedures for a Shopping Center we built in Kapolei last year. This is a very detailed and important task that is a Contract requirement to the Developers and Architects of the project. The secretary on the project had to take an emergency leave of absence and had no time to train. I had no previous experience or knowledge of how to do this close out however, I was confident that I could perform this task and the Company believed I could as well. As I dove right into this task, I never once thought...

A great team is formed by individuals with lots of different strengths and weaknesses important so they can excel in areas where others struggle. I also have two friends who help me sell what is hard to sell and get good commissions on the sales, they know that good profits will be theirs from their continuous association with me; I know I make money from my salesman.
