Personal Statement Describe and discuss a significant experience or achievement that has special meaning to you. The 1998 varsity football season was both a significant experience and achievement for me. It was so extraordinary that it defiantly has a special meaning to me. As a team we won North Coast Section (NCS) of California, Division III, and were ranked number one in the state, Division III. This immense reward was not simply given out to every team but instead we had to earn it. After it was all over and completed I could truthfully say that earning it was not easy. One week after we got out for summer last year we started preparing ourselves physically for the upcoming season. As a team through the whole summer we lifted and ran four days a week. It was difficult because all the other high school kids were at the beach, while I was working hard in the gym or on the track. In the championship game I was the one out there while they were the ones in the stands wishing they could be a part of it all. That summer was when I knew varsity football was going to be a commitment. The night before we were going to begin double days, two practices every day for a week, we all slept in the gym as one group united as a team. During that evening we discussed and set goals that we would strive for and that would guide are season on a prosperous path. We came up with three goals: go undefeated, win NCS, and be number one in the state. From that point on I committed myself to the team and that it stood for and represented. I knew this commitment would need my devotion and I felt...

Fiction Preface The aim of English in Years 7 to 10 is to enable students to use, understand, appreciate, reflect on and enjoy the English language in a variety of texts and to shape meaning in ways that are imaginative, interpretive, critical and powerful. These lists provide teachers with a starting point from which to explore further appropriate literature for students in Years 7 to 10. Books on the lists represent a variety of styles, perspectives and themes. They range across a number of different types of narrative. There is a broad range of place and time settings on the list and the genres represented include fantasy, humour, adventure, historical and social realism. Abortion, the termination of pregnancy before the fetus is capable of independent life, can either be spontaneous or induced. When abortion occurs spontaneously, it is called a miscarriage. However, when the loss of a fetus is caused intentionally, it is regarded as a moral issue. Abortion is very dangerous for health women, and it against religious and moral issues. Abortion destroys the lives of helpless, innocent children and is illegal in Chile. Some immediate abortion risks include infection leading to sterility or death, excessive bleeding, high fever, a perforated uterus leading to sterility, shock and death. Abortion also increases the risk of breast cancer, cervical cancer, tubal pregnancy, miscarriage, premature birth, and sterility. Many times after having an abortion, a woman will become emotionally unstable. Post-abortion syndrome describes the trauma of the woman who finally feels guilty, understands the repercussions of her actions, and regrets her previous decision. Statistics show that 92% feel less in touch with their emotions or feel a need to suppress their emotions. 82% had greater feelings of loneliness or isolation and 86% had increased tendency toward anger or rage. 53% increased or began use of drugs and/or alcohol. 28% attempted suicide. Depression, anxiety, insomnia, and suicide are all common symptoms a woman will encounter after an abortion. Post-abortion counseling is available to aid any woman who is suffering from the pain of death and moral responsibility. The Catholic Church teaches that all humans have a right to live, from the moment of conception to the moment of death. According to these teachings, a person is living when as young as an embryo until the last second of life before death. Any of the above stated forms of abortion are morally wrong because they murder a fetus which is living, moving, and breathing. With abortion, we give ourselves...

The primary goal of any business is to increase stakeholder value. The most important stakeholders are shareholders who own the business, employees who work for the business, and clients or customers who purchase products and/or services from the business. In this paper I will briefly discuss the differences between Domestic, Global and a non- U.S based company. I also will describe the priorities of the stakeholders are addressed in the mission statements. I have chosen Home Depot a domestic company, Coca-Cola Enterprises a global company, and Elliott International a non-U.S. based company from which to evaluate the mission statements. The domestic company The Home Depot was founded in 1978 in Atlanta, Georgia and has since become the world's largest home improvement retailer and is the second largest retailer in the United States, with fiscal 2002 sales of $58.2 billion. Abstract In today's world of marketing there are so many ways to market products and services. Whether it is to advertise it in newspapers, or magazines, or use commercials on radio or TV. The products or services we as business professionals want our customers to use need to be expressed in a manner that fits that individual customer. Therefore, using customer-focused marketing pinpoints the customer in a more personal way. Customer-Focused Marketing Introduction One of the most competitive markets today is in banking. Because of the way our communities run today, banks play a very high roll in business and personal venues. So a big part of banking is not the interest rate you pose or the investment value of your accounts. It's the customer convince and satisfaction you provide. In the old days banking was on a real personal scale. With face to face inter action with the customer being the primary way to bank. Due to technology things have been modified a little. With telephone banking, ATM's, and online bank management, Banks are forced in a none-verbal communication role. This can lead to many advantages to the customer, but it also could stray away from customer service. This is where customer-focused marketing strategies can help banks keep on top of customer service and technology together. Quality Service Eli Seggev, President of Marketing Strategy, and Planning, Inc., defines service as "The extent to which a provider satisfies its customers by meeting their expectations on all the relevant dimensions of service." He goes on by saying, "Customer expectation are not static, they change over time." This basically means meeting the customers needs on a high scale. Taking in to factor changes in the environment, a change in the customers' actual experience with services provided, and changes in the consumer him or herself going through life cycle...
